Birthmarks are skin discolorations present at and/or just after birth. Some are red, and some vary more into the brown range. Red birthmarks are treated with VBeam lasers, which target the red color precisely. Brown birthmarks are better targeted by IPL and a vascular laser with alternating treatments, depending on the degree of vascularity (blood flow) to the mark.
